"Listen: has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?"
[James 2:5]
BRINGING HOPE BY SHARING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
The greatest service we can offer people is to invite them to a life with Jesus Christ. Nothing transforms the life of people more, nothing brings more joy and nothing gives more hope. There is nothing of greater value for today and eternity. We believe: one life changed by the grace of God will impact a family and their community.
We visit families in their homes, get to know their lives and spend time together reading the Bible, praying and worshiping our living God.
While we minister the word of God to adults the children of the community gather in anticipation of the Melusi KIDS CLUB.
BRINGING LOVE BY CARING FOR THOSE IN NEED
According to the Melusi motto "Serving Christ, serving others" we desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. As an expression of God's love and compassion we distribute food parcels to the sick and elderly, we intervene in various ways where urgent help is needed, we support families in their most desperate need - we simply look for opportunities to serve others and make God's love visible.
Our greatest joy is to see transformed lives who become true ambassadors of God's love in their communities. Women and men who take initiative, care for orphans, feed children, reach out to the forgotten and by doing so bring God's love to those in need. What a privilege it is for us to help those who help others.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
[James 1:27]
"‘Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter – when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?"
[Isaiah 58.6-7]
